I'm remembering those times
When you called me your little brother,
And reciting the list of crimes
We committed against each other.

I was young and I had no plans
And I thought I could walk your path,
But the way you treat other clans
Gave me nothing but shock and wrath.

So I've traded my eyes for voice,
So I've traded my wings for claws.
I'm a demon, and that's my choice,
Never meant to obey the laws.

I fell down, and walked on Earth,
And I came to the tribe you chase.
That's my life and my second birth -
To stand up for the better case.

Call me out, I won't return
To your petty, but bloody wars.
Let my past and your future burn
To the sound of shutting doors.

Let these memories bring me pain,
Fill your hearts with disgust and fear.
I'm a demon, and that's my gain,
And my place is forever here.

I fell down, but rose again,
With a star I replaced my eye,
Be afraid of the moment when
We no longer need wings to fly.

I'm a villain, but so are you,
For not everything bright is gold.
But at least I protect the new
From the tyranny of the old.

Howl, roar, and scream with hate -
You won't silence my battle cry.
I'm a demon, and that's my fate,
And I never intend to die.

This one was created when I was salty over someone I viewed as a friend talking badly behind my back about me and my administrative abilities in particular. That is probably the most constructive way to resolve drama I ever applied.

You who never had to choose,
